Quartets: Music by Laura Schwendinger

That’s a new CD of my wife Laura‘s music, just released by Albany Records.


The first piece is The Creature Quartet, made up of four larger movements which are framed by smaller movements, each one an ode to an extinct, endangered or mythical creature.

The piece was premiered by the acclaimed JACK Quartet [short musical excerpt – video file], discussed in this post. Here are the entire contents:

    I love the cartoon visual for the QUARTETS promo video. A little influence from ‘prog rock’ perhaps?
