Canada is reporting zero deaths on a daily basis. Where is the US? Something near 800 deaths per year? But wait – let’s do this on a per capita basis. Using the Sammy-CoRev-Bruce Hall advance model, Canada is having more deaths per capita than we are.

It was too cold for the viruses in Canada, so they all migrated to NYC which has had more than three times the COVID-19 deaths than in all of Canada, ay?
      https://virusncov.com/covid-statistics/canada

Must have been that healthcare system in Canada versus NYC/NY (which mayor declined assistance from the hospital ship Comfort and which governor packed the nursing homes with infected patients). Where are their statements? What? No “we’re number 1” (and still 1/6th of the U.S. total)? Of course, then the residents of NYC/NY felt obligated to spread their newly found virus friends around the rest of the country. Shouldn’t the governor have declared travel restrictions out of the state instead of into the state? Nah, it was Trump’s fault for not building a wall around NY.

Bruce Hall which mayor declined assistance from the hospital ship Comfort

The US Navy hospital ship Comfort was used to treat non-COVID cases in order minimize the risk of infecting non-COVID patients.

The one thing Trump did right and Bruce Hall cannot give him credit for it? I bet Kelly Anne Conway is about to fire this troll.

“It was too cold for the viruses in Canada”.

Yes we can always count on Bruce Hall for saying the stupidest thing all day. We were told that viruses thrive in colder weather and it would all go away when summer hits. That is what your boy Trump said.

But now we see the Bruce Hall flip flop. I hear Kelly Anne Conway has decided she needs a new troll. Good luck finding your local food bank. We would not want you to starve.

You want cold, Canada is a good place to find it. You want hot, Canada is a good place to find it. The Canadian midgets has a continental climate that goes to both extremes. If the virus prefers one or the other, it will find its preference in Alberta or Saskatchewan. So much for climate arguments about why Canada is doing so much better.

as summer rolled through, looks as though NYC is doing relatively well in comparison to the GOP led florida and texas. then again, canada did show that socialized medicine resulted in fewer cases and deaths. maybe they are onto something?

“Using the Sammy-CoRev-Bruce Hall advance model, Canada is having more deaths per capita than we are.”

But it is easily transformed into a “useful” propaganda: Canada is having more capita per death than we.

Well, given Trump’s firehose of lies, perhaps it’s best that he just keeps quiet. I wish he’d keep his mouth shut on a lot more issues.

Odd…….. The above presidential statement looks very similar to donald trump’s statements when policemen shoot Black people in the back or when policemen strangle Black people on the throat, or when police shoot at Black people for entering the driver’s door of their own car, or when policemen shoot cooperative Black suspects laying motionless on the ground. Or when members of the “Proud Boys” accelerate their pickup truck at 60+ miles an hour into protest crowds. Or the orange creature’s statements when members of Antifa save a crowd of bystander Blacks from having the crap beat out of them. No Medal of Freedom given to Antifa for saving Blacks from serious bodily injury or death I guess. That honor is reserved for pseudo-economists who cook up false theories on how regressive tax policies increase yearly federal revenues.

    1. pgl

Trump is referring to the 2nd person this thug murdered. I guess it does not matter that he killed a peaceful protestor earlier. Even with this 2nd victim, all he had was a back pack. Maybe the thug was worried that his victim might pull out his smelly gym clothes.

Oh my. Everyone is making a category error. A statement of sorrow for our nation’s losses, or of sympathy for or empathy with the victims of these events and their surviving family members is what one expects from a (mostly) normal human being who happens to be the President. However, that is one group that Donald John Trump will never belong to. One simply cannot expect such a statement from a narcissistic sociopath, especially one who relies on sociopathic advisors, regardless of the position they hold.

Remarks by President Trump to the 75th Session of the United Nations General Assembly
    ________________________________
    ________________________________

    The White House

PRESIDENT TRUMP: It is my profound honor to address the United Nations General Assembly.

Seventy-five years after the end of World War II and the founding of the United Nations, we are once again engaged in a great global struggle. We have waged a fierce battle against the invisible enemy — the China virus — which has claimed countless lives in 188 countries.

In the United States, we launched the most aggressive mobilization since the Second World War. We rapidly produced a record supply of ventilators, creating a surplus that allowed us to share them with friends and partners all around the globe. We pioneered life-saving treatments, reducing our fatality rate 85 percent since April.

Thanks to our efforts, three vaccines are in the final stage of clinical trials. We are mass-producing them in advance so they can be delivered immediately upon arrival.

We will distribute a vaccine, we will defeat the virus, we will end the pandemic, and we will enter a new era of unprecedented prosperity, cooperation, and peace.

As we pursue this bright future, we must hold accountable the nation which unleashed this plague onto the world: China.

In the earliest days of the virus, China locked down travel domestically while allowing flights to leave China and infect the world. China condemned my travel ban on their country, even as they cancelled domestic flights and locked citizens in their homes.

The Chinese government and the World Health Organization — which is virtually controlled by China — falsely declared that there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission. Later, they falsely said people without symptoms would not spread the disease.

The United Nations must hold China accountable for their actions….

Chinese mainland reports 10 new COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland registered 10 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, all from overseas, the National Health Commission said on Wednesday.

This is the 38th consecutive day without domestic transmissions on the Chinese mainland. No deaths from the disease were reported while 8 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 85,307 and the death toll at 4,634 on the Chinese mainland, while 385 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

There has been no coronavirus death on the Chinese mainland since May 17.  There has been no community or domestic coronavirus case for 38 days.  Since June began there have been only 2 limited community clusters of infections, in Beijing and Urumqi in Xinjiang, both of which were contained with mass testing, contact tracing and quarantine, and both outbreaks ended in a few weeks.  Imported coronavirus cases are caught at entry points with required testing and immediate quarantine.  Asymptomatic cases are all quarantined.

The flow of imported cases to China is low, but has been persistent.  There are as a result 168 active imported coronavirus cases on the Chinese mainland, but of which only 4 cases are classed as serious or critical.

      ltr,

I completely agree that the statement by Trump to the UN is seriously unreasonable, including especially the parts about China.

That said, while indeed China’s current record is very impressive, far better than most nations, you continue to make claims that are not supportable. I just checked Statista, which relies on the World Health Organization. According to them from Sept 1 to Sept. 14 there were 11 deaths due to SARS-Cov2. Your claim of no deaths since May is simply not believable.

      1. Barkley Rosser

Deaths in China, just to be cleat. Yes, that is way better then most places, but 11 in the first two weeks means your claim of none since May is hogwash, lter. Please stop making a fool of yourself by blasting blatant false propaganda here.
