Our President

On the occasion of Black History Month [1]:

“Frederick Douglass is an example of somebody who’s done an amazing job and is being recognized more and more, I notice.”

If you read the full transcript at [1], you will realize that he is a bombastic exaggerator.

Will be an easy play for Putin to manipulate him.

The open question will be China’s reaction, as his personality is exactly to the opposite what’s valuable in the Confucian teaching and mindset, that is to say to be modest.

Narcissists tend to overreact and to “explode” when facing criticism and opposition. Trump’s term will be the most interesting for a long time. Hopefully he does not push the red button.

“Will be an easy play for Putin to manipulate him.” Unlike the narcissist Obama….. who got played by the entire world ….. as he presided over near genocide in the middle east.

Does he even know Douglass is dead? I am guessing no.

The MLK word salad blows your mind. I guess we need one of the sycophants to come out and translate it for us.

Boy Howdy, you got that right. Word salad indeed. A scary window into his mind. Just a rambling stream-of-consciousness thing. Something is very wrong with this man. Voters should have listened to all of his ex-wives.

The new African-American Museum is about four blocks from his new home at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave but it’s clear that he hasn’t gone through any of the exhibits there. My daughter and I were there last week and it’s a truly humbling experience.

    Off topic,. for Menzie Chinn

remember the discussion about the “Russian” T-72’s with the reactive armor, allegedly in the Ukraine,
    here in September 2014 ?

And I doubted that to be specific

Please now take a look at the Kiev regime panzers:

South Park to back off mocking Trump

“It’s tricky and it’s really tricky now as satire has become reality,” Parker notes. “We were really trying to make fun of what was going on [last season] but we couldn’t keep up. What was actually happening was way funnier than anything we could come up with. So we decided to just back off and let [politicians] do their comedy and we’ll do ours.”

For Trump the experience would be quite different — more like nostalgia.

Recall that Trump was sued for illegal racial discrimination in housing not once but twice — in 1973 and again in 1984. Trump is a slow learner.
