Morning Consult confirms the drop, but shows an late divergence in trends between Republicans and Democrats, which does not show up in the U.Mich series.

It will be interesting to see if this pattern shows up in the final April U.Mich. figures.


Off topic – what just happened to UK interest rates?

The 10-year has apparently added 36 basis points today, while other maturities aren’t doing much. Seems like somebody put through a giant order by mistake or some such nonsense. No change in the BOE outlook. No news of particular interest. Truly odd.
Anybody know?
