Measured Economic Policy Uncertainty, Post-Fed Critique, Pre-$500 billion China Tariffs, Pre-Trump/Playboy Tapes

I expect a downward revision tomorrow for today’s value, but tomorrow’s value?

As in Watergate – there are tapes! These tapes are about cheating on one’s wife right after she gave birth to one’s son and then lying about it, paying off the playboy model mistress, and then lying about that. Of course Republicans do not believe in impeaching a President for lying about adultery – right?

Bruce Hall My understanding is that Trump’s potential legal jeopardy is that this could have been a campaign financing violation. Now that violation would have occurred prior to his becoming President, but there is precedent for impeachment for lying to the press and American public about a criminal action. Remember, lying to the public even though not under oath, was one of the impeachment indictments against Nixon back in 1974.

As to what constitutes “high crimes and misdemeanors” within the Anglo-American legal tradition (and as understood in 1787), the “go to” book on this is Raoul Berger’s book:

And lest you think Berger was some flaming liberal, think again. You should read his book on the 9th Amendment. He was an extremely conservative legal thinker.

There’s no valid reason to impeach Trump.

So, breaking-up his marriage is better than nothing.

Pgl, people like you create political instability much more than Putin can ever hope for.

Putin would be proud of “Americans” like you.

Ken Starr and no matter how many “bimbo eruptions” couldn’t break up the marriage.

Sure, PT. I’ll go with Nonsense if you’ll go with something much more fitting for you. Like Pinocchio. (The Blue Fairy had it right: “A lie keeps growing and growing until it’s as plain as the nose on your face.” )

Very Trumpian. You never SHOWED I lied.
(Now remember, Pinocchio: be a good boy. And always let your conscience be your guide.)
