    Even if that last link overstates the case, it’s still a massive amount that is probably correct.

    But, but, but… we can’t have civilians looking into our spending. That’s what our bureaucracy if for. I’m sure we can come up with a few million dollars that we might have saved if we didn’t feed the poor people in California.

      I know how to save some cash. If you have a private pension, then you should not receive social security or medicare. Are you on board with this money saving plan, bruce?

      No, it’s not probably correct. For example if you look at the claim about improper payments when looked at it’s mostly about inadequate documentation ie paperwork. As an example all reimbursements for long term care in the VA system were considered improper. So either no one in the VA system should have long term care or there are issues with their paperwork. The latter seems more likely.
