Again , why would iran want to open it and make a deal? Trump has gotten himself into an awful mess with no way out. They will try to humiliate him before the midterms. Unfortunately iran underestimates the idiocy of the maga voter, who will double down the worse trump performs. Why else would you get paxton for senator?
I haven’t been able to find a good link, but don’t forget that today is the date by which JP Morgan forecast that the Strait of Hormuz would reopen. Because by today there would be so much economic pain that rational actors would ensure that a deal would have been made.
Sort of like how rational economic actors would not start World War 1, therefore it must not have happened.
so the trump administration just ended an nsf program that had located many deep sea monitoring stations throughout the worlds oceans. these were expensive and highly sensitive systems that are not easily replicated, and provided an enormous amount of data on how the various ocean currents were performing.
why did trump close this program, which should have run for another decade? because it provided evidence of global warming. this assault on science is certainly disheartening. why is trump and his supporters such fans of ignorance? exactly what are you afraid of? you really think that just because you don’t measure global warming, that it won’t happen? are you really that ignorant?
